Major UK Brands Are Ditching Down

16-07-2016

PETA’s latest campaign has shone the spotlight on the use of down, feathers used to stuff jackets, coats, duvets and pillows.

A shocking eyewitness investigation revealed that even so called “responsibly sourced’ down is often obtained by ripping out struggling geese’s feathers by the fistful, leaving open, bloody wounds causing agony for the birds. PETA argues that with so many other cosy alternative materials, that work just as well, if not better, then surely its time to ditch the down.
