03-10-2023

On Friday 29th September, Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) CEO, Jenny Holloway joined Harriet Skinner from CXIX, Salli Deighton from LaundRe and Josh Nussenbaum from SeFF Fibre, to speak at the Northern Clothing and Textile Network event.

Northern Clothing and Textile Network events are about the sharing of ideas, projects and making connections within the fashion manufacturing sector. The Design Network North was established in 2007 with the aim of ‘increasing the contribution that design makes to the economy.’

In this edition, the topic focused on the latest cutting-edge technologies and exciting developments shaping the future of the sector. The timing was perfect as Jenny presented remotely from the ‘just launched’ Style3D Styleverse Innovation Centre at FEL’s HQ in Haringey.

Attendees, both at the Northern Design Centre, Gateshead and online, could see Jenny explaining the amazing capabilities of Style3D, along with Kornit Digital, Zund Digital and on-demand micro-factory production for an efficient, sustainable and UK based business model.

Harriet Skinner from CXIX, followed via Zoom all the way from Australia. Harriet was at the very first Northern Clothing and Textiles event when she on the cusp of launching the CXIX activewear brand. Today, the brand has grown considerably and is shipped all over the world. Harriet discussed the brands progress so far and her plans for taking it forward.

She was followed by Salli Deighton from LaundRE, sharing her unique service that enables brands and retailers to reprocess unsold denim and dead stocks by changing the finish and shade with laser and ozone technology. The refinished jeans are good as new and ready for full price resale.

While Josh Nussenbaum from SeFF Fibre talked about textile development and the brands cottonized hemp, produced utilising a patented, environmentally friendly process and technology.

The four speakers offered insight and innovative developments that are happening now in the textile manufacturing industry and it was exciting to hear positive solutions and how cutting-edge technology is forging a path for the the industry as a whole.

Thank-you to the Northern Clothing and Textile Network for inviting FEL to speak at this event.
