N17 Creative Callings Invited to European Social Fund Celebration Event

On 17th March 2022, Fashion-Enter Ltd was invited to present at the first online celebration event for the 2014 – 2020 European Social Fund (ESF) programme for England. Other organisations presenting at the event included: Department for Work and Pensions, The National Lottery Community Fund, Youth Promise Plus project in the West Midlands, The Women’s Organisation – North West, along with six other project organisations.

Each organisation presented in detail about their ESF funded projects and how they have been able to provide essential support and guidance to those in need. For Fashion-Enter Ltd and key partner Collage Arts, the presentation was on the successful N17 Creative Callings project and how the free mentoring, training and advice has benefited many creative businesses within the Tottenham area of north London.

Fashion-Enter Ltd Development Director, Jenni Sutton, discussed the project via the live, online celebration. She talked about how individuals have prospered from the tailor-made advice, support and updated skills fundamental to developing their creative business. Her presentation included a short video with CEO Jenny Holloway and the various initiatives that the project has been involved with, including; career’s advice events, factory tours, masterclasses with industry professionals, employer engagement sessions on new technologies and, of course, one-to-one mentoring and business advice.

Case studies included Gary – Silver Rox, Nick Evans – First Principles, Chema Diaz, Graham Parker and Jose Hendo. The Fashion-Enter team have really enjoyed supporting and seeing these individuals flourish and grow.

The ESF Celebration event was applauded as a great success. Clare Bonson from DWP European Social Fund said after the event: “I just wanted to send my personal thanks to you all, I am so appreciative of  the time and hard work you have all put into today’s ESF Celebration Event. I am sure you will all agree that it was a massive success and really showcased how people’s lives have been changed through ESF funds. I really enjoyed hearing every single story that was shared and I hope you all did as well.”
