You will be able to analyse the demand of your product in a better way if you follow this strategy. When too many items get launched at the same time, it becomes difficult to analyse the demand in terms of popular styles and sizes.

Not managing the marketing properly

Branding and marketing help to compose a balancing act. Initially, you do not want to spend a fortune on marketing.  At the same time, you need to spend a sufficient amount to create a buzz about your clothing line.

The good news is that social media is free. As a result, you should utilise it in the best possible way to market your brand. You can use Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to keep your customers informed about your brand.

Patience is the real game here. You may need about 6 months to develop your following. Secondly, you will need to spend about 10% to 20% of your gross revenue on the marketing. Only then you will be able to witness the real results.

Once you get established, then you only need to spend about 5% of your revenue on marketing efforts.

What you must keep in mind is that your clothing line success will depend a lot on the partners with whom you decide to team up. You will be dealing with factors who may have their own agendas and timetables. If you are unable to navigate these relationships in a positive way, then you are in for loss.

Not looking after your customers

When you just launch your brand, then the customer psyche matters the most. You need to please your customers at the end of the day. There are times when brands loose out because they fail to offer perks to loyal customers.

For example, you can offer some free affordable accessories to your buyers. Let us assume that if a buyer buys two dresses, you can offer, for example, a free glass beads necklace or a scarf if they spend over a certain amount.
