Learn the Art of Draping with Designer & Tutor Ismail Erbil

From Saturday 25th February we are thrilled to offer a new and highly creative Draping masterclass with designer and tutor – Ismail Erbil. Taking place at the FC Designer Collective, Fashion-Enter’s spacious shop space on Fonthill Road in North London, attendees will be able to learn a variety of draping techniques that can be translated into professional patterns ready for production. 

Draping encourages 3D thinking and offers a more intuitive approach that is often used in haute couture. Draping skills are vital to develop creatively as a designer and to instantly address issues with fabric and fit.

Ismail is a highly talented designer, and has shown his collections in London and New York, as well as an ex-London College of Fashion (LCF) tutor with over a decade of industry expertise. He is excited to be teaching fashion draping for Fashion-Enter at the FC Designer Collective and can’t wait to see learner’s explore and grow with his guidance.

Fashion-Enter Ltd CEO Jenny Holloway said: “It’s actually wonderful to be working with Ismail again. In 2008 we worked with Ismail and took his wonderful collection to New York for a Fashion Week event we created Profile NY with a company called Nolcha. Ismail was, and still is, a highly creative designer and we’re so pleased he’s passing on these high level draping skills. All designers need to know how to drape on a form. We can’t wait to start these classes.”

This masterclasses, held in small groups, takes place at FC Designer Collective, 113-115 Fonthill Road from Saturday 25th February and costs £300 plus VAT for 4 weeks tuition.
