The summer of sport is warming up – in fact, new data from Clearpay reveals that UK shoppers are serving looks both on and off the court.
With Wimbledon a few weeks away, new shopping data from Clearpay, a leading Buy Now, Pay Later platform, points to a spike in sales of Tenniscore items. From sales of skorts rising by 134% year-on-year, to a 109% increase in sales of mini pleated skirts, who needs a match point when you’ve got a match(ing) outfit?
Zendaya’s recent tennis-inspired red carpet look – promoting her new film, Challengers, where she plays a tennis prodigy – has been a key drive in shopping basket choices, with sales of court dresses up 35% year-on-year and cotton jersey jumpers also seeing a 126% increase in sales.
Tenniscore accessories and footwear have also volleyed into Brits’ wardrobes this spring with crew socks seeing a 20% increase in growth, and white trainers jumping by 27% amongst Generation Z in comparison to the previous year.
