FC Designer Collective: Sarah Hill

Each week FashionCapital will shine a spotlight on one of their creative talents stocked at the FC Designer Collective on Fonthill Road, London N4. This week it’s the turn of local artist Sarah Hill and her range of greeting cards and coming soon…printed accessories…

Sarah Hill is a local artist based in London N4, who loves to draw obsessively intricate, repetitive patterns from imagination. She studied BA Fine Art at Wimbledon College of Art (2006-09) and MA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art (2015-16), and currently works in her studio space in north London. Sarah recently attended the Level 1 Stitching course at the Fashion Technology Academy, where she subsequently heard about the opening of the FC Designer Collective shop on Fonthill Road. 

Sarah commented: “It is the first time I have ever had anything in a shop before, so this opportunity to have my greeting cards showcased is very special to me and a new experience to learn from. I have enjoyed seeing the other designer’s work in the shop, especially ‘Another Earthling’s’ surreal and textured animal masks. I hope to merchandise my designs onto other mediums such as umbrellas, tote bags, vinyl record covers and more. 

“Things that are important to me personally and professionally are: supporting small or local business, females supporting females, printing or reproducing in the UK, mental health issues and disability access, and Outsider art.
