Fashion Studio Team Work With GENT London X Tahlia Stanton
13-02-2023
The FEL Fashion Studio team have been working with Australian artist, Tahlia Stanton, on her GENT London Origins designs for SS23.
This week, Friday 17th February 2023, Tahlia’s designs will showcase on the catwalk, along with other collaborating artists at the GENT London fashion show at Soho House.
FEL’s Fashion Studio Manager, Agnes Szepligeti, provided GENT and Tahlia with pattern development work for her stunning designs that feature her unique artwork.
It is the first time Australian artist Tahlia Stanton has worked on a fashion collaboration. With over 2 million social media followers, Stanton’s work celebrates beauty, freedom and self-expression, and is promoted almost exclusively through TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Stanton will join 17 other artists showcasing their work at the GENT Origins Collection SS23. GENT London was founded on a simple vision. To breathe new life into vintage fashion classics by turning them into collectable wearable artworks: sustainable luxury fashion reworked by renowned global artists to create hand painted one-off pieces. Since its launch in 2019, GENT London has collaborated with artists including Sophie Tea, Rick Simmons, Punkmetender and the actor Tom Moutchi.
GENT London’s iconic ‘fashion meets art’ concept will be taken to new extremes at this event. Premiering new fashion collaborations, the show – GENT London – Origins Collection SS23 – will also showcase unseen sculptures by the multidisciplinary artist Sevan Garo who founded the wearable sculpture brand Garogosi.
Another new collaboration features fashion entrepreneur Erika Alverez, the force behind the phenomenal sustainable fashion brand Koua-Studio. Alverez champions circular fashion by creating bespoke recycled, organic and deluxe textiles and, in collaboration with GENT London, will showcase a unique and innovative collection using recycled high-end textiles.
The FEL team are super excited to be involved in this highly creative collaboration and look forward to seeing the finished designs strutting up and down the catwalk.
Friday 17th February marks the start of London Fashion Week and five days of shows and presentations dotted around the capital.
