Fashion – Enter Wales: Hospital & Homecare ‘Well Cool Clothing’ Launches Online
08-03-2022
Kirsty Glynn, came up with the idea for her Well Cool Clothing brand when one of her son’s fell ill and required hospital treatment. She could see that regular pyjamas, or hospital gowns, weren’t always ideal when needing discreet and practical access for medical examinations or devices.
Using her nursing background she developed her initial children’s hospital PJs with the Fashion Studio team who supported and guided her through the process from initial prototype (& their were many) to selling in the shop at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This was back in 2014, and after many requests and two years of research working alongside an experienced Technical Designer, Kirsty has now launched the Well Cool Ladies Range of Accessible Nightwear along with her own branded website.
Unlike hospital gowns and normal nightwear, Well Cool PJs are designed to accommodate medical devices, whilst keeping patients covered, comfortable and dignified. Offering discreet access for examination and wound care or helping patients mobilise post op with ease and peace of mind, the range has been developed quite simply to make things easier for patients, their carers and healthcare staff.
Plans are now underway for a Day Wear Range and Menswear later this year and with orders in place Kirsty will be using Fashion-Enter Ltd in Wales to manufacture the garments.
Kirsty comments: “I am absolutely delighted to be working with the team in Wales. The factory is so modern and the team highly experienced, many re-employed from the Laura Ashley factory so I know I am in safe hands. Eddie and Rachel who head the team are there to answer any queries and oversee the production process from start to finish. Couldn’t really ask for more.”
