How to Motivate Yourself to Success with Eric Gilston

19-04-2024

Eric Gilston has worked as a successful Life and Business Coach for the past 17-years. He has helped individuals, from young children aged 10-years right through to top CEOs, resolve any issues that they might have and move them forward to reach their true potential. Ten years ago he met the FashionCapital team at educational event and from then on became a regular contributor submitting articles on getting the most out of life and career.

This week, on May 10th, Eric brought his motivational tips and strategies into FashionCapital HQ and hosted his very own Masterclass entitled ‘How to Motivate Yourself to Success.’ The glass room was packed with a broad range of individuals from students to fashion industry professionals eager to be inspired by Eric.

Jo Price, Senior Lecturer at the FTA commented: “I was a little skeptical at first I did wonder how this man might inspire me but after 10 minutes of Eric speaking I was hooked.”

“Eric is a life and business coach and his purpose in life is to inspire and motivate others. The two-hours flew by as Eric catered for all learning styles. He understands how to engage his audience; there was a PowerPoint, group work and feedback that supported him whilst he spoke. Everyone in the room was engaged whilst Eric took us through the importance of being passionate, having self-belief, not being scared to fail and persisting if you want to succeed.”

Eric talked about using SMART targets for goal setting and he gave everyone the chance to set their own goals and share. He also discussed ‘what is your purpose in life’, a question we all need to explore and answer. We all have a purpose and discovering it will motivate you to success.

He referred to Blake Mycoskie who made a stand for every child in the world having a pair of shoes. Whilst travelling through Argentina in 2006 and seeing many children without shoes and the hardships that came from that, Blake decided to start the Toms Shoes brand with the simple idea that from every single pair of shoes bought, Toms Shoes would donate a pair to a child in need.

Eric managed to leave the entire group feeling moved, motivated and inspired and ready to discover their purpose, to positively move forward and unleash the passion within.

Many thanks to Eric.
