An Excellent Result From Ofsted

11-07-2019

On the 1st July our latest Ofsted Provider Monitoring Report was published and we are thrilled to say that from three key themes we were awarded two ‘Significant Progress’ (highest accolade) and one ‘Reasonable Progress’ to ensure our apprentices benefit from high quality training.

As an independent learning provider that specialises in training technical skills for the fashion sector we expect to be inspected and reviewed by Ofsted and our most recent visit took place over 2-days at the end of May 2019.

The three key areas included:

Fashion Enter CEO Jenny Holloway comments: “This was an excellent result for the team for this moderation visit by Ofsted. I am immensely proud of every single team member at the FTA. From three themes we were awarded two ‘Significant Progress’ (highest accolade) and one ‘Reasonable Progress’ and that reflects how hard we all work to put each learner first in their quest for industrial knowledge. I went back to night school myself for four years because I had to understand how education works – at the time it was hard work but I’m so glad I invested time doing this. I totally appreciate the teaching and quality assurance staff of all FE colleges!”

From the report:

‘Leaders and managers have developed a well-structured apprenticeship for the fashion industry. The chief executive officer uses her extensive experience in the sector to work with leading fashion firms and design bespoke programmes that meet the technical and traditional skills they need. This has provided apprentices with a range of levels and pathways into different roles within fashion design and production. FEL is set within a busy garment production factory and this provides an inspiring training environment where apprentices gain hands-on experience and exposure to all aspects of the design to production cycle.’
