A big thank-you to those that made it to our FashionCapital.co.uk re-launch and bethebest@NatWest party last Thursday evening. The turnout was fantastic attracting a broad range of attendees from the fashion and business sectors. It was also great to see Eric Musgrave, Editorial Director of Drapers, take time out from his busy schedule to support our new initiative with NatWest. Developments on this unique initiative are underway as we speak and we will be updating all on this shortly.

FashionCapital’s In-House Labels Go Global

Our three in-house clothing labels; FashionCapital, Belles of London and Elizabeth of London are set to go global with wholesale agents located in South Africa and UAE.

Currently exhibiting at the ATF Expo Cape Town from the 19, 20 and 21 November Matzner Holdings will present both FashionCapital and Belles of London labels to retailers and public. Matzner Holdings is a family business previously managed by Ishi Matzner and now by Eugin Matzner.

Fashion Enter and FashionCapital.co.uk CEO Jenny Holloway comments: “Sometimes the best contacts come from the most unlikely of scenarios.  Recently at an event that Fashioncapital.co.uk were guest speakers at we had the pleasure of meeting Eugin and his sister Natasha. We discussed how the fashion industry works and our need for a reliable agent for an export business for our own label Belles of London. Today we are working closely with Eugin and Natasha building two collections – one is high fashion at competitive prices under the label FashionCapital and the other is a higher end luxury fabrics line in contemporary styling for the Belles of London collection.  We have been delighted with the results thus far with Matzner Holdings. The first show ATF Expo Cape Town is now underway and we have obtained orders already! It’s a fantastic start and just goes to prove that when the right people work together the world is your oyster. Our aim eventually is to secure this wholesale opportunity for all of our brands that we work with so just watch this space! Onwards and upwards!”

Meanwhile, East of the globe Farzaneh Christensen is representing our in-house Elizabeth of London label in the UAE region. Elizabeth of London is a demure and glamorous line created specifically for the UAE market.

Farzenah comments: “Women in the UAE have increasing purchasing power which has lead many adapted brands to launch in the region. Since the UAE entered the OMC in 2001, the Arabic government put several measures in place to favour investments and make implementation easier. Access to distribution channels has for instance, been simplified. The UAE has a very different culture compared to the West and the way we do business can often lead to misunderstandings, however having professional experience with both cultures I feel I am qualified to achieve business decisions that will benefit both parties and this will provide wonderful opportunities for the Elizabeth of London label.
