Profile update!
Following the success of Profile 2011 we are delighted that ten designers have been selected to attend and showcase at the Shanghai Fashion Week in March 2012. We had an esteemed delegation from Shanghai Fashion Week Organisation, Shanghai International Fashion Centre and Shanghai Garment Trade Association
The ten designers who have been selected will be notified when final terms and conditions have been concluded between Fashion Enter and Shanghai
Jenny Holloway commented ‘I knew this was the best Profile to date and I was immensely proud of the designers showcasing. This new collaboration with China is excellent and will facilitate trade for both countries. Onwards and Upwards ladies and gents!’

20 designers across ladies, men’s and accessories showcased their S/S 12 collections to a guest list of press and buyers from asos, Topshop, Debenhams, House of Fraser, NottingChic and many more.
The event also marked the launch of Lauren Goodger’s debut collection Lauren’s Way; an all pink, couture range of red carpet dresses. Lauren explained ‘I was inspired by Grecian looks so you’ll see one shoulder designs and toga style pieces. I wanted to design a range that will get girls compliments.’

This year Profile was both a trade and a consumer event with a selection of designers able to sell their designs to the public. The consumer section was a mixture of eclectic designs to buy from new designers Magenta 8, Tobi Hannah, Bad London, Love Emile and Tina Lobindi, Lauren’s Way pop up shop selling her clothing line and beauty products, free massages and beauty treatments by Sandall Sanctuary and cupcakes by Pakes.
Press, buyers and VIPs were then able to review the collections of the carefully selected designers showcasing in the trade event. This year Profile was filled with talent, with each designer showing exceptional creativity and innovation with their designs. Kelly Love exuded old world glamour and femininity with her luxurious fabrics and precise tailoring, Rebecca Torres, who is already a best seller on asos.com with her label Torres, really stood out with her dynamic shapes and strong colour palette and jewellery designer Marina Prokopiva accessorised Simon Wang’s contemporary collection on the catwalk with her colourful and decorative pieces of wearable art.
‘Just a quick email to say thank you so much for last week’s show! I made so many contacts and was so please with how everything looked (particularly the catwalk; really great models, I felt very lucky!). Thanks also for the mannequin – luckily she stayed in one piece and it made such a difference to my stand. I’m keeping an eye on all the press coverage, and have had some good emails and calls over the past week, so even busier than before the show. Hope you’ve had a chance to relax since then, and thanks again, brilliant all round!‘ Rachel Antonio
