LFW SS17 Top 3 Jewellery Designers
20-09-2016
IMOGEN BELFIELD
Imogen Belfield is known for earthen-inspired shapes, coated in metallics like gold and silver. The necklace shown won the 1st prize in Las Vegas for best couture piece. Her creativity and understanding of shapes and proportion is unmatched, and her jewellery ranges from classic pieces like necklaces and rings, to unique knuckle cuffs with chains worn along the hand and wrist.
JAMES GANH
James Ganh creates extremely versatile pieces that can be worn in multiple ways. His necklaces can be easily converted to rings, and his tiaras into bracelets. The star piece is the pink marble skull with floral designs covering the entire head. This designer understands jewellery as it relates to fine art and function.
NIKAO
Nikao’s jewellery is pure street-style covered in gold. The youthfulness in her designs is something new and fresh that most jewellery designers have yet to touch on. The fresh and modern style is juxtaposed with regal silhouettes, with a clear understanding of the female form. These designs would be right at home on celebrities like Rhianna and Nicki Minaj.
