Strategic Roadvmapping – Northern Clothing & Textile Network
David has 35-years experience in the clothing and textile industry and has held senior posts with J Barbour & Sons, Jockey International and many other well-known international brands. David hails from the North East of England and is committed to furthering the renaissance of the clothing & textile industry in the North.
David is working with the team at Design Network North, the obvious collaborators on the project; they host a highly successful design network for the North of England and know a thing or two about running effective B2B networks, where business is done as well as knowledge shared.
When asked why Design Network North David’s answer was clear. “Design Network North is respected in the region as the go-to place for the design and creative industries, many successful collaborations, projects and profitable business relationships have started there. I want the members of the Northern Textile & Clothing Network to benefit from the same approach. I want the network to be a source for great business as well as a source for great knowledge.”
At the event in June many of the guests expressed an interest in exploring the potential for a dedicated Northern Clothing & Textile Network, so David & Design Network North will hold a road-mapping session on 20th July, a highly respected technique used by many companies and sectors for opportunity analysis and planning. “Following the success of the first event where over 70 guests heard inspiring talks from my colleague and friends at J Barbour & Sons, Northumbria University & The All-in-One Company I have listened to the questions, concerns and ideas expressed by guests and with Design Network North I will be hosting a road-mapping event on 20th July. “This is a great way for us to start the debate about the opportunities and challenges facing the clothing & textile industry in the North of England” said David.
So, this is your opportunity to influence the direction of the Northern Clothing & Textile Network. Your hosts will be looking at important issues such as product innovation, new market opportunities, advances in manufacturing processes, technologies and materials, skills and infrastructure. They will explore the connections between these factors and the impact on your business and the wider industry.
David is keen for as many people as possible to attend so that everyone can benefit from your input and ideas of a broad cross-section of the industry. He is keen to hear your views and opinions so please join him and the team from DNN for what is sure to be a stimulating event.
