Hollywood Stories

Thirty years ago, English twin brothers Austin and Howard Mutti-Mewse began writing to their Hollywood screen icons. Friendships evolved and in the 1990s the twins visited some of these stars. Hear their stories of Bette Davis, Marlene Dietrich and Elizabeth Taylor among others, accompanied by intimate photographs. £15

Wednesday 14 May / 2.30-4pm
Find out why Horrockses was one of most respected ready-to-wear labels after World War II and how they commissioned artists to design fashion prints. Join Christine Boydell, to hear how the company changed the High Street and explore the connection between couture and ready-to-wear fashion in post war Britain. £12
