Chloe Guarnori Blog: The Sportswear Trend

Low knitted jumpers, similar to cricket outfits but with more detail in the top of it and with its general fit looser and simplistic. The dresses have very bold and electric colours similar to the 70’s wear that’s quite chic, but outstanding. There are flat nude pumps and sport heels that are simple and sophisticated. This sporty trend can be purchased at any good high street shop for example: Topshop, River Island, Bank, New Look and many more.
Designers like Alexander Wang and Vera Maxwell have created outfits based on the previous 1930 – 40’s seasons as well as the 1970. These seasons are relived today as a two piece jacket and trousers with a lot of texture and detail to give it more of a fun look.
Sarah Harding really shows off the sporty style this season with a black figure skimming dress. A pair of sophisticated peep toe heels really tie the outfit together as it looks very girlie but also active; an outfit that’s quite comfortable and content. The medium size clutch looks very nice with minimal detail of the press studs added to it to give more of a texture and feel and emphasises the shape and style of the bag. Overall the outfit works well and suits an award ceremony or a day out taking part in a sporting activity.
