A blast from the past, from double denim on boys to skater skirts on girls, everyone’s stepping it up and wearing the denim look. A big lover on the high street currently is the women’s skater skirt from topshop for only £20. This stretch denim fabric mimics real denim and is taking the hearts of many girls.
On the catwalk however slouch and double denim is a big favourite for designers such as Chloe, Ralph Lauren and D&G. These stylish designers have created the denim-on-denim look that usually people would despise of however now that these designers are recreating the look it had become a particular favourite especially with the boys. Brought back from the late 80’s and early 90’s when people were wearing there dungarees and denim jackets, people are using this again to make this edgy but casual look. Another popular look is to bleach denim to turn it white. Charity shops are selling these oversized 90’s jackets for under a pound, extremely worn well by Rita Ora. This trend is being known as a ‘marmite trend’ you either love it or hate it, I say dare to do denim!
