Fashion at Croydon College has been an important part of the Art, Design and Media department for many years. The quality of the student work is high and the fashion show generates many significant positive press opportunities. The fashion show takes place at the Whitgift Centre in Croydon and is a one day event on Wednesday 27th June, comprising of a 2pm and a 4pm free show – all welcome!
The show is a major event for fashion design and is comparable to ‘Graduate Fashion Week’, employers are warmly invited. The college engages in effective collaborative programmes, including ‘The Getting It Right First Time’ initiative that saw students creative designs stocked in local Croydon boutique – Fashion-Enter in Centrale Shopping Centre.
John Rocha OBE a former student of the College has had a long and successful career in the fashion industry and is well known for his prestigious international collections. Other previous fashion students have pursued careers with prestigious names such as DKNY, Calvin Klein and French Connection.
The Gala evening show is at 8pm and is a strictly ticket only event. Tickets may be purchased at a cost of £10 from Croydon College finance department up to 4.30pm on the day of the show – providing they are not sold out!
