A Reflection of Summer so far…

Overall I have had an extremely active and busy summer this year which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I attended many shows and organised a few and went to many launches and parties.

I started the summer of by hosting an exclusive private fashion show at The Park Lane Hotel in Mayfair to an audience of media and finance professionals which went exceptionally well. I selected designer Georgie Williams to showcase her exclusive collection GW for the show.

Channel 4’s ‘faking it’ choreographer TJ Arlette ( www.tjarlette.net ) also came down to offer us a hand. As well as meeting some great people I had a great team and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

At the end of July I finally exhibited my long awaited fashion art collection entitled “Love Genevieve” (www.lovegenevieve.co.uk) which I named after my mother. My exhibition took place at The Foundry in Old Street and was showcased there for two weeks.

The opening night had a fantastic turn out with people ranging from fashion photographers to designers turning up and adoring my work which was great! The response and feed back I have had so far has been fantastic so a big thank you to everyone who came down to support and also a big thank you to Jonathan @ the Foundry ( www.foundry.tv)  for giving me the opportunity to exhibit!

I also had the privilege of being interviewed about my fashion art collection  by Welsh Presenter and Artist Tracey Moberely (www.sanderswood.com)  for Resonance 104.4 FM’s late Friday breakfast show,  which I will upload shortly on my Art site.

My Best Buys of the summer:

My mother went on a trip to Hong Kong and bought me back some of the most amazing shoes and out-fits for next to nothing prices!

I must say these shoes have been my favourite and most comfortable so far and only cost the equivalent of £5 (WOW!!! I know)…

…and this dress was only equivalent to £1 and I am totally madly in love with it!!!

So what’s next for me…

I’m off to New York for fashion week on 4th September which I’m really excited about. I will also be attending Nolcha Fashion Week ( www.nolchafashionweek.com) which I am so, so excited about as it’s their first fashion week ever!!! I will bring you all the goss and backstage happenings when I get back including those funky outfits I will be spotting out there at the shows J

I have been commissioned to do some Art pieces for the haberdashery shop, ‘4 Season Shop’ in Islington ( Four Season Shop, 31 Fonthill Road, London N4 3HZ ) which I’m extremely excited about. They will also be stocking my “Knit your heart out” fashion card range which has been another favourite and proved to be very popular.

I will also be back for London Fashion Week and will be attending a few shows which, of course, I’ll tell you all about.

Goobye until next time,
