Clothes Show London – Attention Designers!
19-05-2010
Based around the fashion capitals of the world the show will take the audience on a journey from Milan’s high fashion catwalks to East London’s coolest club kids, to the crazy world of Harajuku fashion and back to Sex and the City’s amazingly inspired style!
With it being the London Clothes Show, stylist Alexis Knox and Doll (fashion events agency) want to really bring The Clothes Show back to it’s London Fashion roots.
The 8 themes are:
Japan – Harajuku – young Japanese street fashion – colourful fun playful multi layered – Yang du,comme des garcons
New York Bronx – Sportswear, denim, hiphop cool, meets Jeremy Scott meets basquiat
New York sex and the city – part 1 – glamour, fresh, bright, clean, Marc Jacob, Calvin Klein, Zac Posen, Ralph Lauren etc
part 2 – 1950s men’s casual wear and girls in 1950s florals
East London – cool edgy & club kid. London’s underground / Shoreditch
Milan – really hot catwalk show and high end looks
Paris in spring time – black and white Chanel, Louis Vuitton, my fair lady reference.
Paris by night – Moulin Rouge meets Galliano, large couture dresses through to stockings and Basques, gothic glamour.
London Carnaby street – swinging 60s quadrophenia
