The Internet Retailing Awards Shortlist

E -retail experts and industry front runners will unite later this month to commend the likes of ASOS, Amazon, Apple, Aurora, B&Q, Burberry, Debenhams, Dixons, Ebay marketplace, H&M, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Lakeland, Lovehoney, Made.com Marks and Spencer, Net-a-Porter/Mr Porter, Tesco, Topshop, Tradepoint, Screwfix, Wiggle and Zalando at the Internet Retailing Awards 2013.

Sponsored by Venda, the Internet Retailing Awards will take place on Thursday 26th June 2013 at SUSHISAMBA in Central London and will celebrate the masters of the multichannel world and award their success in the sector.

Speaking about the awards, Mark Pigou, Publisher of Internet Retailing Magazine, said:

“With online businesses growing 57 times faster than the UK economy, there is no doubt that internet retail is thriving. The judges and I are looking forward to publically commending some of the most inspirational initiatives of the year.

“The shortlisted retail brands have dared to be different and the brilliant people in our industry have had the vision to take brave decisions to drive their online businesses forward.”

The first of the eight categories is the Innovation award sponsored by PayLater which will be awarded to the retailer that has created the most inventive in inspirational retail solution. The nominated finalists are Burberry, Made.com Marks and Spencer and Topshop.

Awarding a company that astounds judges with its appetite for ‘more’ and its ability to tame complexity and deliver in every dimension, simultaneously, The Omni Award sponsored by Portaltech Reply will be battled between Aurora, Debenhams, John Lewis and Tesco.

Amazon, Debenhams, Dominoes, Ebay marketplace and Net-a-Porter/Mr Porter are in the running for the M-Retailing Award will recognize the retailer whose mobile activities extend beyond an obligatory app and tablet-optimised site to creating an integrated, coherent and compelling experience under their brand on mobile.

Signaling the importance of integrating internet retailing to the in-store experience, the IRIS Award will go to the retailer whose mobile activities extend beyond an obligatory app and tablet-optimised site to creating an integrated, coherent and compelling experience under their brand. The retailers in the shortlist are Apple, Burberry, Dixons and M&S.

With the customer at the forefront of retail, the Customer Award sponsored by SDL Fredhopper will award will recognise the retailers impact upon the customer and their experience. House of Fraser, John Lewis, Lakeland and Lovehoney are in the shortlist.

Nominated for the Capability Award, Amazon, ASOS, B&Q/Screwfix/Tradepoint and John Lewis are in the running for the award that proves the most efficient, effective and all-conquering with their ruthless retail capability.

Recognising the importance of overseas, the International Award will  recognise the retailer that has thought strategically to create digitally-led or digitally-enabled international markets for their products and services. ASOS, Net a porter/Mr Porter, Wiggle and Zalando are in the running for an award.

Last but not least, ASOS, H&M, Net a porter/Mr Porter or Tesco will win the Global Award for their capabilities, competitiveness and commercial performance on a global stage.
