As the name suggests 'Boutique S.P.Y.' is on the look out for the most gorgeous boutiques in and around London. Every week we report on the best boutiques we have come across.

This week we look at yet another little gem of a boutique located in Cookham Berkshire called Plume. A great boutique carrying a very good selection of designer brands and accessories - see below.

They also stock a good size range 8 - 16. It's very encouraging to see more and more boutiques popping up and rightly so! I for one am sick of the high street in fact I hardly go there, instead I seek out rare finds, I actively look for boutiques as the owners job is to be totally individual to their boutique and that is what sets them apart from the rest of the retailers.

Plume hold a personal shopping service too so if you are stuck for ideas then they are on hand to help. This is a great concept and every boutique that is serious in attracting customers should offer this kind of service...

Personal Shopping Service

With a background in freelance fashion styling, owner of Plume Boutique, Gemma Fox, offers a personal styling consultancy service by appointment only at the boutique in Cookham, Berkshire. Clients are invited to bring along items from their own wardrobe with suggestions on how to update and add to their own style using key pieces from the boutique.

The 1 hour session includes a consultation to cover specific lifestyle requirements, and a bespoke personal fashion styling service and demonstration on how to achieve several different looks using the same key pieces. There is no obligation to purchase, just a minimum charge of £50 per session, redeemable against any purchases. Philosophy

'With a background in freelance fashion styling, working for magazines such as Easy Living, The Saturday Telegraph and Marks & Spencer Magazine, I've learnt a great deal about how to make all shapes and sizes look fabulous.

Through Plume, I've sought to deliver beautiful classic pieces with a contemporary edge, focusing on soft colours, fresh prints, sumptuous fabrics and flattering cuts to produce that effortless kind of feminine style.

And that's just the clothing! With a vast selection of one-off accessories including velvet embroidered bags, vintage print kimono's, semi precious jewellery and silk printed cushions, there's something for everyone. I hope you'll agree!'
