The school is soon to receive a Super School Status and has specialist status as a Language College in recognition of its outstanding teaching and results, as well as work with other schools and the community.

FashionCapital has now hosted two of the seminars with year 9 students and has been highly impressed with the calibre of work to date. Greatly aided by Rachel Ford herself, a practising top end Ladieswear designer, the students are working on an evening wear garment ready for a school fashion event on 3^rd July.

FashionCapital is explaining how the fashion industry works and contributing to the development of the corseted evening wear items with the patterns now well under way.

The total three day seminar has included

- The Design brief

- Market Research - comparative and directional shopping

- Mood boards and line drawings

- Patterns and grading

- First fits and toiles

- Marketing - swing tickets, labels, logos, press books, line drawings, press and PR

- Business Tools (SWOT analysis; 4 Ps of Marketing)

- Personal profiles

Following the fashion event on 3^rd July each student has to present their garment to the class whereby a voting system will commence for the top three designs to be showcased in the Enter Boutique in Croydon.
