As the admittance of graduates into the industry beckons upon approaching the final hurdle, BFC hosted the annual Colleges Council Open Day at a new spacious venue on Tuesday 8th April to account for the increased interest generated from both Colleges and industry insiders. A wide range of retailers, buyers, manufacturers and design companies were in attendance.
The Open Day was created by BFC to provide an array of industry enthusiasts the opportunity to view future designer talent with the potential of depicting a new era of fashion in years to come. Drapers once again generously teamed up with BFC to present their prestigious "College Portfolio Award" to the College displaying the best portfolio based on overall presentation. The winner was selected by judges, Drapers editor Lauretta Roberts, Colleges Council Chair Anne Tyrell along with a team of experts from fashion design and retail.
