FOLK clothing has a variety of internships available, _base_d in our central London offices.

We are looking for business minded yet creative interns who will enjoy working in a small team environment. As we have a design office running alongside a sales agency, applicants will gain knowledge of both sides of the business.

Our design team are responsible for Folk, Shofolk, BSA, Tretorn & other design projects. The agency, MACANDI, is responsible for the sales of these brands plus Blue Blood, Humanoid, 6876, Closed, & Black Milk.

We have 2 departments recruiting for interns:

Design & Production
Assisting our busy design office on Folk, Shofolk, BSA & Tretorn projects.

Working with the design team, our interns are involved in a variety of tasks from sourcing to quality checking to researching. Other projects may be sketching, co-ordinating photo shoots for our lookbooks, maintaining sample archives & creating line sheets.

Sales & Distribution
Working with our sales agency, assisting the sales & distribution team who work on Folk, Shofolk, BSA, Humanoid, Blue Blood, Black Milk & 6876.

Working for Macandi will involve tasks such as shop research, mail outs, internet research & sourcing, customer care (after-sales support, returns), booking appointments with buyers, co-ordinating samples & press shoots, sales administration (order confirmations, logging re-orders, collecting sell through reports), as well as day to day office & showroom duties.

The candidate will need to be organised & on time, able to display initiative, be computer literate & comfortable in an office environment. We would want to take advantage of any analytic skills & strategy suggestions that could be beneficial to the workings of the company. We would hope to eventually pass over projects, for which the intern would take sole responsibility. Essentially, these would be setting up systems of market research to help us gain information & background on our potential import & export market.
