Hi Lyn has data_base_ though for the North though so dont be put off by her being _base_d in Nottingham...they did a massive directory ages ago - may be a bit out of date though?

As we are not for profit Leigh we have to get our production right for the deisgners at the right price too. One we know your standards and ways of operating there wll not be a need for you to keep coming back to London. This is exactly why we opened our own boutique so we can ensure we can deliver.

i think actually North east was a bit limiting, north in general would b better but nottingham is down south to me

i'm worried about using factories etc in London because i'm not there to oversee things you know? at least if it were a unit _base_d up here i'm on-hand to make sure things are going as planned or if anything needs changing at the last minute etc, i'm going to come and see the unit next thurs definately,

Hi I am sure there are...there was an organisation called NY Text - have you tried those?

There is also a company called Skillfast who are supposed to lead on training in the industry - they may have a data_base_ too?

I used to work a lot with a very talented lady called Lyn Oxborow who was _base_d at Nottingham Trent University - she was really helpful.

Remember we have now opened up a unit too - the Workshop which is there to helpl retailers and designers alike. You could come and visit and then send down work if you require. We are holding an open day on Thusday 23rd October 10-12.30 so you are more than welcome to come. If you are interested just email feride@fashion-ener.com and we will put you down.
