£20,000 TO £24,000. LONDON
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to join a well-established clothing company as “Import Development Manager” on a permanent basis. You will be expected, with minimal or no supervision, to find quality garment manufacturers worldwide (with an emphasis on China) to add to our _base_ of garment suppliers. You should also have excellent garment knowledge in terms of quality and pricing. The ideal candidate will be able to single-handedly manage orders placed with suppliers in the Fareast from sourcing to production to meeting delivery deadlines. You will be expected to have effective business communication and client management skills. You will be expected to coordinate with the design department to increase product quality, reduce costs and keep an accurate record of the whole import process.
· You must have a Bachelor degree and a minimum of 5 years work experience in a clothing related field
· Knowledge of International garments quality control standards and fluency in both English and Chinese are absolutely essential.
