The Ministry of Justice has started a consultation for the Governments proposed plans for introducing fees in employment tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT).
The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2011 has been published and will come into force 1st February 2012. The Order increases the limits applyed to certain employment tribunal awards and to other amounts payable under employment legislation.
In Feb 2011, the European Commission (EC) issued a ‘reasoned opinion’ on a complaint made regarding the implementation into UK law of Article 3 of the European Asbestos Workers Protection Directive.
