Welcome to this week’s Art Spy...This week we look at the work of two artists who both share a beautiful way in expressing art that is both fun to look at yet it seems that both works have been painted through a child’s eye...I love this style of artwork and would see it working well in a child’s bedroom however I could see them placed lovingly on a kitchen wall or in a front room.
Artist: Susie Grindey
I love the work of this artist and the way in which she paints her pictures. They are as she says ‘not realistic’ however this style is something that I really love. The paintings are very interesting to look at with their winding roads and animated quirky buildings. I’m also a big fan of blue and skylines and these paintings are full of that! Most of her paintings centre around Bath town...
Susie graduated from the University of Wales College in Newport in 1996 after completing her degree in Animation, Illustration and Graphic Design...
