Welcome all! my name is Lynsay and I’m going to be doing the ‘showroom blog’ for the foreseeable future. I’ve come on board to give Hayleigh a hand in her busy role as showroom manager.


It’s been a busy week as per usual here at the showroom, hindered by a telephone fault causing a whole days setback of calls with no phone!

 

Designer feedback

 

  • Importance of fittings. Getting the fit and grading is essential not only for the company selling the collection but also for customers to avoid unnecessary returns and loss of trust and reputation. Most importantly, you must get size 10 and 12 right as this is standard.

  • Buying is so visual and I can stress enough the importance of having professional images of your collection, as buyers can be put off by this even if the collection catches their interest. I would strongly recommend that if you do not already have images that you invest the time and money into getting this done as you could lose buyers.

  • It is so important for designers to go out and do your homework. Think about the look of the brand and where you want your designs to feature, go to these places and look in store to see what your competition is like. You must be realistic about where your designs could be placed.




Clothes Show London

With only three months left till the big event time is running out to secure your stand. Clothes Show London is a fantastic opportunity for up and coming designers to showcase and sell their designs to thousands of hungry consumers! It’s not only a great way to maximise sells but with the right PR and marketing it is a fantastic launch pad for your collection. There are now limited stands available so if you have been thinking about taking part now is the time to take action.

 


FashionCapital meets Edge Models club nights!

The proposed club nights with leading modelling agency Edge Models is fully underway with a date and club now in the diary!

If you are a designer this is your opportunity to get your designs seen by the Capitals most stylish including potential customers, buyers and press. As part of the package you will see up to 7 complete outfits from your collection in the fashion show, pre event publicity and support, images of your collection taken by a professional photographer, post event publicity and a fun fuelled night out at one of London’s hotspots!

The nightclub – Amika. The date – 15th April

If there is one person known for throwing great parties it has to be Diddy.

The superstar chose to throw his first UK party’s in 4 years at London nightclub Amika, announcing on his twitter that he was partying in 'the best club in London'.

Well now FashionCapital are following in the stars steps by throwing our first Profile Edge show in the Amika Night Club.
