Teachers

Education is changing and there is now more emphasis on enterprise and vocational studies in schools and colleges today than ever before. Teachers also need help and support and Fashion Capital offers Continual Professional Development seminars to update teachers on the latest advancements in fashion today from our various sites such as The Workshop and The Factory based in North London. Both of these sites show work in progress with a full set of machinery and trained staff to guide both the teachers and students through the design and production process.

Purpose made seminars are created for schools and colleges that involve creating mood boards, factory visits, producing garments and then showcasing the garments in a fashion show or one of the boutiques owned by Fashion Capital.

By creating such innovative courses all teachers, students and pupils can understand the full process behind fashion and the Design Cycle. The Design Cycle is members only restricted view of the complete process of design from thought innovation to physical delivery of garment. There are over 130 different subsections of the design process all carefully explained on line.

Fashion Capital offer courses that are flexible to the needs of the school and college ranging from a one two hour session to a once a week seminar held over a six month period. Our staff and trainers are all industry based but have been trained to work in the educational sector and therefore cater for all levels of learning ability including special needs. Courses are also available that support the new Diplomas for Creative Media, Retail and Manufacturing and Fashion Capital works closely with the Education Business Partnerships in a wide variety of regions.
