Brittons Havering School is forward-looking and offers a curriculum which is stimulating and balanced and which maintains existing good practice.
Credit to the year 10 Textile students for their outstanding work on the Design a T-shirt competition. Over 30 highly talented students showcased their work on Friday 28th November and the designs were well constructed and executed using hand embellishment, (both embroidery and beading work), heat pressed printing, machine embroidery, and more besides.     Some of the detailed work was exceptional        .JPG "Brittons Havering School") The girls mainly worked in teams just as they would in a real working environment. The seminars are aimed at simulating real life situations and seeing the girls all working together for a common cause is highly rewarding.         The two teachers Victoria Collyer and R Jacques were highly creative in their own right and supportive themselves and without their support such seminars could not work. The work is now culminating in a fashion show on 6th December.  Festive Fashion will be a heady mix of culture, sophistication and elegance and will be taking place in Vicarage Field Shopping Centre, Upper Level, Barking, Essex Showings 1pm and 3pm. The general public will be able to purchase Fashion Enter designer collections in affordable fashion and jewellery all in the surroundings of Christmas festivities! This is a fantastic opportunity for new and emerging designers as the targeted consumer will be highly influential women in the Essex Area. Good luck to all the students on 6th December where the students themselves will grace the catwalk wearing high heels, jeans and of course those wonderfully designed t-shirts.
