My name is Lundrina Zuqolli, currently I am attending Eastbury Comprehensive School and I am studying textiles, art, business and all the other compulsory subjects. I chose that combination because I want to pursue a future in the fashion industry, business will help me with the skills which will help me to succeed and skills a good entrepreneur would need. Textiles and art will help me with my drawing, and teach me about everything I need to know about clothing like the way they are put together, rules and etc. I want to go to London College of Fashion or Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design when I’m older. I would like to have my own clothing range, and other products.

In school we designed our own pillows, going through the process of initial designs, design development and final design. Then making the pillow case using batik, fabric paint and sewing it together using the sewing machines. Also I’ve made an eco-friendly bag and we also drew a design on a ready made t-shirt. Right now, in textiles we are making our own clothing, using fabrics which have African prints on it but the style has to be modern. We’ve got our own books with all our work that we’ve been doing so far this year; these include our initial designs, needs analysis, specification and mood boards.

I have chosen Fashion Enter as my work experience placement because I can learn things that will help me in my future plans and give me an idea of how things work in fashion.
