James Emmerson's second Trend Report- Whats Hott in Mens T-shirt Prints this Season.

Tee Time!

By James Emmerson

McQueen (Alexander, not Mercedes). Gucci. Matthew Williamson. Even our very own Topman - they’re all at it! This season’s catwalks have been awash with vibrant colours, intricate patterns and flawless design work - and they’re being slapped all over the modest men’s t shirt.

Tees

The printed tee has never been more popular and this week I’ve been looking around to try and find some of the coolest trends and styles available.

We start this week with a fundamental rule when choosing a printed tee – there are no rules...

Simple

Whether you're into bright geometric shapes or Pop Art inspired themes, there really is no better way to stand out then having one of these hanging off your back. One designer that has been doing this better than any other is London's very own Alexander McQueen. McQueen is constantly evolving and developing his style using his iconic skull print, drawing inspiration from popular culture, music and film.

Topman are another label to always get in bang on trend. Even walking around their Flagship Oxford Street store this week I couldn't believe how they have embraced this trend – and their customers are eating it up by the bucket load, especially me!

Tees

We’re not the only ones who love this statement look. Check out some of our favorite man celebrities rocking this exact same look:

Tees

The quick tip: try not to over-style your tee too much. It alone can be a huge statement so a long chain or bright pair of jeans might draw attention away from the main attraction. I like to even up a bright top with a bright shoe (see my report last week on shoes) this will even out your look and wont make you look too Euro trash. In fact the only accessory you’ll need for a printed tee this summer is a Long Island Iced Tea!

The main thing to remember here is to have fun and show your playful side …

Happy shopping!
