Colour palettes are of vital importance any to fashion or textile collection. There are a huge diverse range of hues and colour, so it is a key prerequisite to carefully research the right blend and mix of colours for any forthcoming collection. It is necessary to ensure that the colours work with the selected fabrics for each fashion statement. At Fashion Capital, our colours are carefully researched using trend and colour prediction agencies, we also keep our ears close to the ground utilising, key personnel who visit trade shows and fabric fairs to glean key information. Colours can be categorised into key classifications such as *The Classics (white, ivory, black, navy, red et al) *The Pastels (such as pink, blue lemon) *The darks *The mid tones *The Jewels (burgundy, midnight blue etc) *The fashion statement itself, defined by the colour of the time (lime green, electric blue, shocking fuchsia pink). Some designers have their own design signature and handwriting which keep to a tight colour range; it may have a hint of a fashion statement, such as an accent colour. Other designers will review the colour trend predictions and integrate them more fully with their fashion statement. |

Aaheli Aryani “We all have a face that we hide away forever,
And we take them out and show ourselves when everyone has gone.
Some are satin, some are steel, some are silk and some are leather.
They're the faces of the stranger and we love to try them on.”
