As the saying goes ‘good things come in small packages' which must have been what Avsh Alom Gur was thinking when he presented his latest collection.

Minimalist to say the word, we were all packed into the tiny showroom to view a range of bold print dresses. From a 1960's style, black and white patterned dress, to a busy kaftan, it was hard to pick out a unique outfit as they all seemed to blend into one another. These dresses needed models, a runway - a show - in order for us to capture their true beauty and appreciate the work of art that they are. We all however whizzed around the presentation, and then headed to the free bar where apple sourz and lemonade was the favoured tipple.

There was nothing different to this collection that we haven't seen earlier in the week - nothing that stood out anyway. Yes the fabric was delicate and silky with colour used so powerfully that it gave demeanour to the dresses, and the little stripy hats brought a tone of multiculturalism to the table. But where was the emphasis on the clothes themselves? Where was the designer to tell us about his creations and his inspirations behind them? Even in the showroom we were all talking about the Jaeger show and how we were all eager to get to it.

I am not saying that presentations are a bad idea, but when everyone was expecting a catwalk show, it is hard not to feel a little bit disappointed.
