Running fashionably late I am worried I will miss the start of Alice Palmer's first stand alone show, one which I am eager to see! Fortunately for me it is running late, not so fortunate is the huge queue outside the Vauxhall Fashion Scout venue in Covent Garden. After a long wait I am finally seated, front row and with a goody bag waiting!  Alice Palmers new collection takes its inspiration from ‘the Fantastical hotels of Las Vegas' apparently. After last summers collection (that went down a storm when we took it to our New York Profile event) I am optimistic! There's still the trademark Alice Palmer knitted, beautifully structured dresses with great theme and colour running through. Also featured are separates and jumpsuits, still in the fantastic futuristic style so regularly featured and loved. The structured knitwear is fantastic and intriguing, the new twist here is chain embellishments meeting fantastically with the embellishment trends this year. It's a great feat for an up-and-coming designer like Alice to keep her style but mix seamlessly with the trends predicted! The golden embellishments and jewellery are designed, I find out, by Fannnie Schiavioni.  The colour scheme is very Regal and rich. A combination of Purples and Kingfisher blues. There are shimmering, flashes of metallics running throughout to accentuate the Las Vegas theme as well as the gold, chain embellishments. This is a subtle Vegas.
