Last week the Workshop had the great opportunity to host Jamaican born Madras designer Jessica Ogden and Asos.com representatives Caren Downie and Sarah Wilkinson as they judged the International Fashion Fusion entries. ITN was on location to catch all the excitement during the process.

Ogden is currently creating a South African inspired range to coincide with the design competition and the chosen winner’s final design for the International Fashion Fusion project will be included with the collection for sale on asos.com.

With the wide variety of entries received decision making was difficult but eventually the judges were able to narrow the list down to ten finalists. During the selection process research, skill and entrants passion for design were all taken into concideration. The ten finalists are Deborah Nzebele, Donjeta Fazlija, Tanya Baciu, Yesmine Hossain, Shani-que Barrett, Celia Fernandes da Silva, Wayne Lennon, Kayowa Tshimanga, Katie Murray and Charlotte Johnson.

All finalists will complete one concluding project for the competition and final decisions will be made and announced in two weeks time.
