Ziad Ghanem's show was all about drama and rather than being a simple catwalk, he was determined to be the theatre master of fashion week.

Rather than the usual fashion crowd, Ziad has in addition is own followers who come for the magic of performance art as much as the clothes, who whooped, cheered and clapped all the way through. Often the theatrics stole attention from the clothes and with probably the best sound track of fashion week, it was a bit sensory overload.

The beginning of the show seemed to be all 'superhero' stylee, with capes, lots of ruffles, drama and black tiers, drapes and sparkle. There was a large usage of clashing prints, again on a host of wools, silks and jerseys, there was lots of layering and wrapping and rather than structured, garments were quite full and slouchy. I particularly liked the painted suit jackets that really reminded me of the Meadham Kirchoff biker jackets and parts of this phase of the collection had a very 'lost and found' feel.

There was some exceptional corsetry, modelled by none other than 'Immodesty Blaze'. As well as some sparkly embellished evening dresses that really produced the loudest cheers of the night. Cutting and construction was excellent and the pieces that had been embellished really looked like well loved art. Though I felt that the drama and theatrics were sometimes a little ott, the Ziad brand is all about the performance and on that front he certainly didn't disappoint.
