Grants On Offer to Improve Retailers

In this day and age going into any high street retailer, you expect outstanding customer service and management. Unfortunately this isn’t always the case, and this is due to the lack of training available within a company. The National Skills Academy for Retail, have now started a scheme whereby they are offering grants of up to £1000. The Regional Leadership and Management Advisory Service (LMAS), funded by the Skills Funding Agency, offer businesses the match-funded grant. This grant is then to be used, to improve the way managers run their teams and businesses.

 The courses include:

Frontline Management Solutions – This session has been carefully created, to ensure supervisors and managers have the necessary information to help their staff deliver excellent customer service. Part of the new WorldHost customer service training for retail, the attendees will be given practical advice about management.

Jane Rexworthy, Head of the National Skills Academy for Retail said: “Smaller retailers do not have the money to pay for training and are often reluctant to apply for funding because they fear that the application process will be complicated and time consuming. That’s where we come in. We can help retailers access this funding, giving them the opportunity to go on top-class training.”

She added: “Our management training courses are specifically designed for retailers, and provide attendees with tips and advice they can easily put into practice. Helping them manage their teams better and help establish customer service standards across their staff.  Outstanding customer service can make a store shine above its competitors, attracting customers and helping a business grow.”

To apply for the grant you must have between two to 249 full-time employees, show potential for growth and be based in England.
