ghd are launching a limited edition of stylers available in either black or white with a new patent design. The glossy effect certainly adds style and elegance to the already highly sought after product; girls all over the world will be clamouring to get their hands on a pair!

The evening followed the Dark or Pure theme with a trio of thrilling vignettes exploring dark desire and pure fantasy. We were treated to Dark and Pure cocktails, entertained by a delightful cast of trannies dressed as fairy tale characters and could even get our hair professionally styled with the new glossy stylers; which of course I couldn’t resist!

The show was wonderful. The concept a modern take on ‘Fairytales’, it certainly made a refreshing change to be presented with a witty and highly creative show rather than sullen looking models strutting up and down a catwalk.

Directed and written by cross dressing persona Jonny Woo, who also played the role of Tinkerbelle, the play centerd around the fairy tale characters fused with ‘reality TV’.  As hair can often denote ‘dark’ or ‘pure’ characteristics, the ghd stylists used the opportunity to show off the versatility of the stylers by creating five very different looks of each of the characters.

With Vivienne Westwood and Versace inspired hair and dressed in a host of top designer pieces; my favourite Goldilocks rocking a Preen sports-lux jumpsuit with sophisticated bling, the cast were suitably attired for an audience of fashionistas.

The set was designed by fashion talent of the moment Gareth Pugh, who created an elegant black and white chequer board design, inspired by the stylers and also reminiscent of Pugh’s spring/summer 07 collection.  

Overall a wonderfully unique and perfectly styled evening.
