where to study fashion design? 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 1
Hello to all

is here anyone who could give me some advice about FD course in London please?

am interested in fashion styling, desingning, scetches, animation but mostly designing.especialy womans design, glowns, accesoirise, barlesque dreses and so on...and this i would study, but i dont have any eduaciton in this area before, and my skills are only scetching, animating, patternmaking.
i'd get some proper course (something like BA)in one of these best uk fashion schools RCOA,S.t maartin,or LCOF.

could somebody give me advice wich course is for begginers and mostly oriented for womans clothes?
do i have a chance to get in one of these schools if iam begginer?

thank you for any advice,it will be grateful!

Danny

Hi Danny,

Many thanks for your post.

University of Arts London is a good place to start. Many of the BA courses ask for a foundation course. the most common is a foundation degree in art although, you can choose from the others available. This will then allow you to move to a BA (hons) course.

If you are interested in fashion design, then it is advisable that you have a look at the other UAL colleges and see what courses they offer, as many of them give a range of specific fashion design courses including:

Fashion design: womenswear
Fashion design:menswear
Fashion design; textile design
Fashion Design and development

University for the Creative Arts also have many fashion design courses some of which is foundation is not required.

i was on open day in LCOF so i got some info.yes the foundation course in art & design would be best option ,and that i still have a chance to get some in other collages and then in january apply for BA full time in LCOF.but i cant believe that its so simply, that they still accept students at this time, and if i have a chance to be accepted on january for BA,because i 've been told that i'll be mastering sewing skills designing etc on second part of foundation course, and if i wanna aply for BA i finally need to have some skills
so what do you think about it?what colllege for foundation course will prepare me on best way for fashion design?
should i maybe call to school and ask as well...
