On a food product's nutritional label there are usually two different descriptions of a serving. For example, it may say that a serving is 2 tablespoons or 30 grams. I have a food scale as well as measuring utensils but I was wondering which is more reliable? Sometimes I will weigh something that says, for example, 1/2 cup or 120 grams. Then, I'll measure 120 grams and it will end up to be more than 1/2 cup.

Which form of measurement should I trust to count calories with?"
