I am new in the business as freelance seamstress and was asked to estimate my cost per item (i.e cushion, tea towel, purse and book bag). As I have never estimated my cost I would be very grateful for any help. The fabric will be supplied so its just my work.

You might want to take a look at Fabricly, where you can sign up and find designers who need a freelance seamstress or other apparel manufacturing.
